‘Phantom Planter’ Still Sore About Metro Removing Flowers

LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — Last spring, as flowers bloomed, the north entrance to the Dupont Circle Metro station was full of color and life, courtesy of the so-called Phantom Planter.

It didn’t take long for Metro to pull the flowers up, however. Hard feelings still linger, as evidenced by the video shown to Metro riders yesterday as they walked out of that same station.

The Washington Post reports that the video below was played on an 18-foot screen across from that station Sunday night. The screen has since been removed.
