LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — Eight people were tied up as three armed men robbed their home near Catholic University, police say.

D.C. Police say three men with with guns broke into a home in the 3300 block of 7th Street NE in the afternoon hours of April 4 and zip-tied the hands of eight adults inside the residence.

The suspects stole multiple items from the home before fleeing. Police did not elaborate on what was stolen from the home.

Police describe the first suspect as a black male in his 20s, about 6 feet tall with a thin build and dark complexion. Police say he was armed with a long gun — possibly an assault rifle — during the robbery.

The second suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, about 6 feet tall with a thin build, light complexion and braids or dreadlocks. Police say he was armed with a semi-automatic handgun during the robbery.

Police released sketches of the first two suspects on Thursday.

The third suspect is described as a black male around 30 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, with short hair and a mustache. He has a light complexion and medium build, and had a semi-automatic hand gun during the robbery.
