ISS Astronaut Takes ‘Space Selfie’

LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — There are millions upon millions of dollars worth of technology on the International Space Station, and American astronaut Steve Swanson has used it to take a selfie.

The photo, snapped mid-spacewalk, was posted on the official ISS Instagram account Wednesday, and was also tweeted by Swanson’s colleague, astronaut Rick Mastracchio.

Earlier this month, Swanson appeared in the first known Instagram photo taken in outer space:
