LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — An anonymous tip led to the discovery of two missing 12-year-old girls from Silver Spring Thursday morning, police say.

Abigiel Bediako and Stephanie Yamileth Rodriquez vanished after their mothers dropped them off at White Oak Middle School around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23.

The tipster told Montgomery County Police the pair remained in Silver Spring. Officers spotted the girls at a bus stop a short time later.

The girls were given a check-up, but appeared to be unharmed, police say.

The girls lived near each other on Stewart Lane.

Abigiel, who lives in the 11500 block of Stewart Lane, is black, 5 feet 2 inches tall, and weighs approximately 120 pounds. She has brown eyes and dark-colored braided hair. Abigiel was last seen wearing blue jeans, a green jacket, and blue shoes with pink laces.

Stephanie, who lives in the 11400 block of Stewart Lane, is black, 4 feet 5 inches tall, and weighs approximately 95 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown and black hair with blond highlights. Stephanie was last seen wearing black jeans and a denim jacket.
