Frost Advisory: Light Frost Just In Time For Morning Commute

LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) – It may be mid-April, but Old Man Winter isn’t ready for a summer slumber just yet.

The National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for Montgomery, Baltimore, Howard, and Frederick counties in Maryland until 8 a.m. Friday. The same advisory will be in effect for Loudoun and Fauquier counties in Virginia.

A Frost Advisory means that a light frost is expected in the area, which could damage power lines and cause slick spots on roads and sidewalks.

Temperatures will dip into the mid-30’s overnight. However, warm weather will return just in time for the weekend, including Easter Sunday.
