KFC’s Double Down Making a Comeback

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — KFC’s Double Down — the infamous bacon and cheese sandwich with two breaded chicken breasts instead of bread — is making a comeback.

The news was first reported by USA Today but once Twitter got a hold of the story, KFC confirmed it.

The Double Down, first released in 2010, was listed on KFC’s nutritional chart as having 540 calories and a whopping 1,380 grams of sodium.

The Huffington Post reports that the sandwich will only be available for a limited time, from April 21 to May 25.

While a handful of stores have kept the Double Down on the menu since its release, it hasn’t been available nationally for a few years now.
