Former Redskins Player Beasting Out With Dr. Andrews
LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A former Washington Redskins player is now beasting out with Dr. James Andrews.
Defensive end Adam Carriker, billed as having the largest arms on the d-line, is currently at the Andrews Institute in Florida rehabbing a torn quadriceps tendon suffered two years ago.
He recently broke the institute’s record by benching 275 pounds for 30 reps and posted a video online to prove it.
“I’m not lifting, I’m training,” Carriker posted. “I WILL be back.”
The former first-round draft pick from Nebraska has vowed to return to the NFL after missing the bulk of the previous two seasons while recovering from a trio of knee procedures.
The Redskins released Carriker last month, but may consider re-signing him closer to training camp if rehabilitation goes well with Dr. Andrews.
