Man Who Robbed 2 D.C. Banks on Same Day Sentenced

WASHINGTON — A man convicted of robbing two downtown Washington banks on the same day has been sentenced to 8 ½ years in prison.
Fifty-six-year-old Clyde Lacy Rattler of Washington was also ordered to pay nearly $2,900 in restitution at sentencing Tuesday in federal court in the district.
According to government evidence, Rattler robbed United Bank and TD Bank on Aug. 2, 2013. Prosecutors say in both cases, he told a teller he was armed and was given cash.
