Taxi Cab Crashes Into Building in Northwest D.C.

LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — A taxi cab crashed into a building in Northwest Washington, sending two people to the hospital and closing several roads early Monday afternoon.

Authorities say the cab barreled through the front of the Inter-American Development Bank in the 1300 block of H Street NW just before noon Monday.

D.C. Fire and EMS say two people were taken to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The 1300 Block of H Street and New York Avenue were closed in both directions due to the accident, but D.C. Police say all roads have since reopened.
