Cherry Blossom Indicator Tree Blooms

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — The Cherry Blossoms should bloom along the Tidal Basin within the next 10 days.
The indicator tree, which usually blooms seven to 10 days before the famed Yoshino Cherry trees, began to bloom Wednesday, according to the National Park Service. Officials have previously forecast peak bloom for sometime between April 8 and April 12.
The National Cherry Blossom Festival runs through April 13.
