Va. Education Association Re-Elects President

RICHMOND, Va. — Meg Gruber has been re-elected president of the Virginia Education Association.

An earth science teacher from Prince William County, Gruber will serve a second two-year term beginning Aug. 1.

The VEA held the election at its convention last week at the Roanoke Civic Center.

Gruber has served in numerous VEA offices, including as vice president. She is a former president of the Prince William Education Association.

Jeffrey Pennington, a special education teacher from Floyd County, ran unopposed for vice president.

The VEA serves more than 60,000 public school teachers and school support personnel.
