Ryan Clark Signs Contract to Return to Redskins After 9 Years

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - Ryan Clark has signed a contract to return to Washington nine years after leaving, the Redskins announced on Wednesday.

Clark, 34, is a 12-year NFL veteran most recently employed by the Pittsburgh Steelers for eight seasons. He’s appeared in 161 regular season games, of which he’s started 137, recording 807 total tackles, 52 passes defensed, 15 interceptions, 5 forced fumbles, 6 fumbles recovered and 3.5 sacks.

He also started 92 of 96 regular season games for the Steelers, with whom he appeared in two Super Bowls, winning one.

Clark played two seasons in Washington previously, last appearing in a Redskins uniform in 2005.

His only Pro Bowl selection was in 2011.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
