Reports: Redskins Trying to Keep DeSean Jackson in Town Until Deal Reached

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – The Washington Redskins appear to be closing in on a deal with free agent receiver DeSean Jackson.

Jackson, who hung out with Pierre Garcon, DeAngelo Hall and D.C. rapper Wale last night, met with the Redskins today.

He’s since left Redskins Park, Tarik El-Bashir reports, but will remain in town until a deal is signed, according to Ian Rapoport.

Rapoport also says Jackson’s agent, Joel Segal, has sat down with Redskins front office personnel to begin negotiating a contract.

Dark horses in the Jackson sweepstakes — the 49ers, Bills and Raiders — haven’t given up yet either, says Jason La Canfora.

The Browns are also “going hard” after Jackson, Mary Kay Cabot reports for the Clevaland Plain Dealer.
