UPDATED: March 26, 2014 8:00 a.m.

LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — A woman was killed and two others, including a 17-year-old girl, were injured by a gunman during a home invasion Tuesday night in Baltimore.

Around 10:30 p.m. a person entered a home in the 8300 block of 8th Street and shot three people before running from the scene, Baltimore Police say.

Johnice Sheppard, 21, was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead shortly before 11 p.m., officials say.

The teen is hospitalized in critical condition.

The man, who was struck in arm by a bullet, is in stable condition. He left a trail of blood as he walked down the street, WNEW has learned. His injuries are considered non life-threatening.

WJZ reports homicide detectives were called to the scene, which is not abnormal for crimes of this nature.
