Worker Dies After Falling From Md. Water Tower

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A 21-year-old man, identified as Chad Weller of Stevensville, has died after falling from the top of a water tower in Anne Arundel County.

Emergency officials say he tumbled 200 feet from the structure, which is in the 3700 block of Mountain Road in Pasadena.

Upon arriving at the scene fire personnel found Weller, a contractor who was working on communications equipment, unconscious and unresponsive. Paramedics attempted to resuscitate him but he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The incident is under investigation by Maryland Occupational Safety and Health (MOSH).
