LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A filmmaker decided to take matters into his own hands Monday after a snow plow driving the wrong way on a road in Arlington allegedly forced his car to swerve to avoid a head-on collision.

Jason Berry says the jolt caused him to lose control of his vehicle and that it spun 180 degrees before coming to rest in the opposite lane. He was not hit by oncoming traffic on the hilly and winding Military Road with blind turns.

After recovering, Berry grabbed his camera and decided to follow the plow to document the plow’s actions. In his narration, Berry noted the truck’s number — 5403.

The Arlington Department of Environmental Services said the driver was removed from duty immediately after officials became aware of the video. The service said the plow driver’s actions were “completely unacceptable.

The video received more than 70,000 views within 24 hours of being posted.
