Montgomery County Police Officer Injured at Gaithersburg Home

GAITHERSBURG, Md. — A Montgomery County police officer has been injured while responding to a fight at a home in Gaithersburg.
Police were called to a home on Christopher Avenue about 11 p.m. Saturday. Police and fire officials say the officer was attacked when the officer tried to stop a fight.
The officer was seriously injured and was taken to a hospital. Another person involved in the right was also taken to a hospital.
Police say multiple suspects were taken into custody. No other details were released early Sunday.
