WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - The Washington Redskins have agree to terms with 27-year-old corner back Tracy Porter, formerly of the Raiders, Ian Rapoport is reporting.
Porter’s six NFL seasons — New Orleans Saints, Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders — have resulted in 10 interceptions, 3 touchdowns and 230 tackles. In 16 games in 2013, he had 2 interceptions for 1 touchdown and 53 tackles.
Most notably, Porter’s biggest career highlights came on the biggest stage. As a member of the Saints in 2010, Porter intercepted a Brett Favre pass in the NFC Championship to send the game to overtime (which the Saints would go on to win).
Two weeks later, Porter intercepted a pass from Peyton Manning and returned it for a 74-yard touchdown, icing the Super Bowl victory for the Saints.
