Updated: Friday, March 14, 2014 — Hall responds to Twitter beef in radio interview.

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - Redskins corner DeAngelo Hall and reigning Super Troll champion Richard Sherman exchanged Twitter haymakers Thursday night.

To many bearing witness to the firework show between Sherman and Hall, it may have appeared just a random attack initiated by Hall, the first to strike.

These recent comments should convince you, however, Sherman proclaiming himself the NFL’s ‘best corner’ has been eating away at Hall for some time.

“I still feel like I’m one of the best shutdown corners in the league,” Hall said in February. “Until somebody shows me otherwise, I’m gonna keep going out there trying to own Dez [Bryant] and Calvin [Johnson] and A.J. Green, and all those other guys.”

Even earlier — prior to the Super Bowl — Hall told Grant Paulsen and Danny Rouhier “it’s screwed” to call Sherman the best corner in the game.

None of this knowledge makes their feud any less real or disrupts Hall’s or Sherman’s intent — it only serves to establish a timeline, and possibly, premeditation on behalf of Hall.

It’s often difficult to trace the beginnings of such things.

Maybe it was here:

The first punch:

Sherman, seldom one to back down from a Twitter fight, obliged Hall:

Excuse me while I check my bank account.

Enter Chad Johnson:

Darrell Green … peacemaker:

Follow me (or don’t. I’ll be okay. I just spent two hours sifting through Twitter).
