LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — The San Francisco-based fitness technology company Fitbit is recalling more than 1 million of its activity-tracking wristbands, according to a report on ConsumerAffairs.com.

Apparently users can have allergic reactions to materials contained in the strap, which can cause redness, rashes and blistering.

The company has gotten almost 10,000 reports of skin irritation from customers.

The recall applies to Fitbit Force wristbands with model numbers FB402BK, FB402BKS, FB402SL and FB402SLS.

To receive a full refund, consumers should contact Fitbit, toll-free at (888) 656-6381 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET daily.
