WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) — Wide receiver Andre Roberts has officially signed with the Washington Redskins.
Several people familiar with the situation — including CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora — say the contract is worth a base value of $16 million over four years with $8 million guaranteed.
A person close to the contract negotiations says the 26-year-old Roberts will get a $4 million signing bonus, and that the deal could be worth up to $17.35 million with incentives. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because Roberts has yet to sign the contract.

The former Arizona Cardinals wideout agreed to the terms Tuesday, sources say, and he is scheduled to take his physical Wednesday and then sign his deal.
A source told 106.7 The Fan’s Grant Paulsen on Tuesday that reports of the deal with Roberts are “premature.”
Roberts, 5’11” and 195 pounds, had 43 receptions for 471 yards and two touchdowns last season. His best season with the Cardinals was 2011, when he had 64 catches for 759 yards and five touchdowns.
Drafted in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft out of The Citadel, Roberts has 182 receptions for 2,123 yards and 11 touchdowns in his career.
The Redskins also reached deals guard Shawn Lauvao and linebacker Adam Hayward and re-signed inside linebacker Perry Riley and receiver Santana Moss on a busy first day of NFL free agency.
