Teen Killed in Laurel Motorcycle Crash

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A 17-year-old was killed in a motorcycle accident in Laurel Saturday night, police say.

Narvie Tyrone Foster, of the 9600 block of Hingston Downs in Columbia, was driving a Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on Route 198 from Brock Bridge Road when it struck the side of an Isuzu Rodeo turning left onto Race Track Road. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Excessive speed appears to be factor in the crash.

The driver of the Isuzu, 53-year-old Ira Matthews, of Laurel, was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. He is in serious but stable condition.

A second motorcycle fled the scene without stopping.

The motorcycle ridden by Foster was reported stolen through Howard County Police.
