Georgetown University Student Dies on Spring Break
WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – A Georgetown University student has died while on a spring break trip in the Dominican Republic, school officials say.
According to an e-mail sent out by Todd A. Olson, Georgetown’s Vice President for Student Affairs, Mark Adamsson, a student from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, died while traveling with his classmates on spring break.
Counseling staff and chaplains are available to students who may be in need of personal support.
WNEW’s Heather Curtis spoke with Georgetown senior Jennifer Pricks, who like many students are still in shock over the news.
“I just couldn’t imagine what his family and friends felt,” she said.
Georgetown officials have also been in touch with the Adamsson family and will continue to provide support and assistance to them.
