Potomac High School Locked Down After Nearby Shooting

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — Potomac High School in Oxon Hill was locked down for nearly 90 minutes following a shooting nearby Tuesday morning, Prince George’s County Police say.

Authorities responded to a shooting in the 1400 block of Southview Drive shortly before 9:20 a.m. Officials say no suspects or weapons were found during the initial search.

Police say they do not believe the high school is in any way connected to the shooting, but decided to secure the building for precautionary reasons.
