LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A man was shot and killed in Montgomery County overnight and the gunman still is on the loose, authorities say.

Montgomery County Police say James Allen Frazier, 21, was shot in the area of Drumcastle Court in Germantown just after 10 p.m. Tuesday. When officers arrived they found him suffering from gunshot wounds at the intersection of Oxbridge Drive and Route 355.

Frazier, who lived in the 200 block of Frederick Avenue in Rockville, was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

The suspect, who fled from the scene, was described as a black male wearing an overcoat and dark-colored pants, but investigators say they have yet to confirm that description.

Homicide detectives and forensic specialists remain on the scene Wednesday morning.

Police ask anyone with information on the shooting to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-411-TIPS. Crime Solvers are offering a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this crime. Tipsters will remain anonymous.
