Rock Thrown Through Bus Windshield, Driver Hurt

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A Metrobus driver was injured when someone threw a rock through the windshield of the bus Thursday night in southeast D.C.

The bus was stopped near Langston Place and Raynolds Place when the rock was thrown shortly before 8:10 p.m., according to police.

The driver was taken to the hospital after complaining that broken glass was in his eye. Passengers on the bus were not injured.

Police will review surveillance footage taken from the bus as part of their investigation. Authorities also believe some passengers on-board the bus saw the incident.

The driver has not been identified.
