Redskins Re-Sign Defensive Lineman Chris Baker

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – The Redskins have announced they’ve re-signed defensive lineman Chris Baker.

Although the terms of the deal were not disclosed, Jason La Canfora is reporting Baker signed a 3-year deal, worth $12 million with $4 million guaranteed.

Since joining the Redskins in 2011, Baker (6-2, 333) has appeared in 29 regular season games with three starts. Last season, he appeared in 15 games with three starts, compiling 46 tackles according coaches’ film (26 solo) and his first career sack in Week 7 against the Chicago Bears.

Bake r, 26, was originally signed by the Denver Broncos as a college free agent on April 27, 2009. For his career, he has appeared in 31 games with three starts, compiling 43 career tackles (according to STATS, LLC), eight tackles for loss, two passes defensed and one sack. Baker played collegiately at Penn State from 2006-07, before transferring to Hampton in 2008.

He was born on Oct. 8, 1987, and attended Windsor (Conn.) H.S. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
