Three Suspects Wanted for Grocery Store Murder in Woodbridge (Video)
WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – Prince William County Police are asking for the public’s help providing information about a murder at the Platanillos Grocery and Jewelry in Woodbridge.
On Friday, Feb. 21, police responded to the store – located in the 14000 block of Jefferson Davis Highway – to investigate a shooting.
Officers arrived on location and discovered two adult female victims, both sustaining gunshot wounds to the upper body. One of the victims — 21-year-old Glenda Marisol Coca-Romero, of Woodbridge — died at the scene, while the second — an unidentified 42-year-old Woodbridge resident — was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
She remains in critical condition, police say.
Witnesses reported seeing three males entering the story followed by gunshots. The suspects immediately fled the business after the shooting, possibly on foot.
One customer and one additional employee were also inside the store at the time of the incident. Neither were harmed.
No property or money was taken during the incident.
The victims were identified as employees of the business. The incident is being investigated as a murder.
The suspects, all males, were described as wearing dark clothing with their faces covered. Their age or race is currently unknown.
