ARNOLD, Md. — Anne Arundel County police say a driver who died in a four-vehicle crash in Arnold may have suffered a medical emergency before the accident.

It happened about 10:40 a.m. Thursday on College Parkway. Police say 77-year-old Patricia Ann Krzeminski of Annapolis was driving east when her car drifted into the westbound lane.

Officers say Krzeminski’s car hit two vehicles and was hit by a third. Police say Krzeminski was fatally injured.

A driver of one of the other vehicles, 29-year-old Zahid Ali Syed of North Annapolis, was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore in critical condition. Another driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The accident is under investigation.
