LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — The inner loop of the Capital Beltway in Largo, Md. has reopened following a nasty multi-vehicle accident that involved a tractor-trailer that completely shutdown the roadway early Tuesday morning.
The roadway had been completely shut down for a time between Central Avenue and Ritchie Marlboro Road, creating massive delays for commuters.
At least four cars were involved in the accident which occurred shortly before 6 a.m. It is unclear whether icy road conditions were a factor in the crash.
Outer loop traffic slowed briefly as drivers rubberneck past the crash.
