LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA. (CBSDC) - Detectives have released a composite sketch of a suspect believed to be involved in four armed robberies in the Sterling area, with the most recent incident occurring Friday night.

Police responded to the area of Stanford Square when a female reported she was walking to her apartment when an unknown person approached her and brandished a firearm.

The suspect demanded her wallet and told her to remove her jacket. She screamed and the suspect fled the area.

A similar incident occurred last Sunday when a Sterling woman was approached by an unknown male at her apartment door on Stanford Square. The suspect brandished a firearm and demanded her wallet. A ground and aerial search was conducted at the time, but no suspect was located.

The suspect was described as a male with medium complexion in his 20s. The composite sketch was developed from the incident last Sunday.

Other incidents, similar in nature and both involving female victims, include a robbery in the 46500 block of Lynnhaven Square around 6:15 a.m. on Dec. 29, and an attempted robbery in the 10200 block of Mckean Court later that same day.

The suspect in the latter two incidents was described as a light-skinned black male, approximately 5’8” tall, with a medium build in his mid-to-late 20s. He was wearing a dark hoodie that was concealing his face, and was possibly driving a small burgundy- or red-colored vehicle.

The Loudoun County Sherriff’s Office is working with other agencies in the area to determine if any other similar cases have been reported.

If you have information, you’re asked to call the police at (703) 777-0475.
