Updated Friday, Feb. 7 at 10:02 PM: This clip may explain it better.

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – Lavar Arrington’s new catchphrase abruptly spawned a movement through Washington, D.C. on Friday.

“YEAAAAAAAAAAAA,” he shouted.

“YEAAAAAAAA,” someone mimicked off mic within earshot of the studio.

“YEAAAAAAAAAAAA,” he shouted again.

“YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA,” another voice parroted.

And just like that, with little explanation, the 106.7 The Fan airwaves were overtaken by YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAs.

Moments later, the telephone lines lit up — roughly a hundred deep — with callers clamoring to get on the air and just say, “YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.”

And wouldn’t ya know, Twitter blew up with the craze too:

We know.

Nobody does.

No one knows, Thom_A88.

For some impossible to identify reason, it’s just feels cathartic, on the Friday to end a long work week, just to roll down your car windows, turn up the radio and just scream, “YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!”

And what does Chad Dukes think of all this?
