Updated Thurs., Feb. 6, 2014: Kevin McCarthy confirms he became verified on Tuesday.
WASHINGTON (CSBDC) – I think we all knew this day would come.
Kevin McCarthy — the movie reviewer-turned full-time Fox entertainment reporter, formerly known as BDK, the pimple-faced intern for the Junkies — is verified on Twitter.
Just stare up at it, in awe of its glory: a pristine, white check mark glistening at the epicenter of a puffy blue cloud of comfort, which is wrapped with another thin, but noticeable line of white for accentuation.
It shimmers. It is perfection.
One can’t be certain of exactly when this happened — whether it was minutes, hours or even days ago — but it has happened.
Here was the first instance of it being noticed:
This day seemed inevitable the day he sat down for an interview with Angelina Jolie, who at the time was perhaps Hollywood’s No. 1 A-lister. And then he sat down with her again, as well as with every other major player in the entertainment industry, it seems.
It wasn’t a matter of if, but when he’d become the first personality at 106.7 The Fan to become verified (although it should be noted, he’s technically no longer an employee of CBS Radio — that distinction belongs to Fox).
And it’s finally happened.
Congrats, buddy. Well deserved.
