Report: Kirk Cousins Open to Being Traded

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — Though he won’t be eligible to be traded until March 11, Redskins backup quarterback Kirk Cousins is open to the idea, according to an ESPN report published Sunday.

Sources tell the network that a possible destination for the 25-year-old former Michigan State starter is Cleveland.

The Browns plan to hire former Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan, Fox Sports reported Saturday.

Sources tell ESPN that Cousins wants a chance to be a starter. He’s been playing second fiddle to Robert Griffin III for two seasons in Washington. During that time, he has started in four games and appeared in eight total.
