WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - The Junkies hand-in-hand walk with Rob Ford through the media circus continued into Friday evening, culminating with a shoutout on NBC’s Access Hollywood.

Their latest slow dance with national/international/global headlines came when Ford merely responded to their question about Justin Bieber turning himself into police in Canada.

You can be the first to read about that (I’ve seen the numbers) — in a piece that spends way too many lines talking about how great the Junkies are, here — but for this post, let’s stick to task.

Ford’s response was enough to earn the Junks some credit from Access Hollywood:

“Here’s what the city’s mayor had to say on the Washington, D.C. radio show The Sports Junkies…” said show host Kit Hoover (I think).

As you’ll notice in the Tweet below, EB has been committing to the “not get excited about anything” bit. It’s a really horrible bit.

Here’s an excerpt:

I guess I can understand his lack of enthusiasm.

It’s pretty much everyday you get to have the perfect media juggernaut as a recurring guest, who collides with another media titan, offering up a fat moon-sized meatball of a headline to get your name sprawled across American and Canadian television sets, allowing your personal brand to cross over into markets and their respective demographics you would have never otherwise touched (See also … dismissive “ha” in Tweet below).

Honestly, EB, who doesn’t love a shoutout?

(Hopefully he ignores this, like everything else I write, so I can get fired for not delivering results — then I can sit around writing Tumblr posts for the same amount of people, but with the added benefit of being able to say ‘I tried’)

If you noticed any other mentions, let me know.
