Queen Latifah Wanted to Tackle Lavar Arrington

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – Lavar Arrington narrowly avoided being tackled by Queen Latifah on Wednesday.

The former All-Pro linebacker made an appearance on ABC’s “The Queen Latifah Show,” alongside NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, in an effort to inform parents of ‘Heads Up’ tackling — a more technically sound approach being taught to youths from the lower levels up.

When the reason for their visit was broached, Latifah grew bold.

“You’re gonna teach me how to tackle?” she asked Goodell.

“Do I get to tackle him?” Latifah said, directing her finger towards a smiling Arrington (1:08).

Alas, it wasn’t to be on this day.

However in an a later instructional segment, Arrington would be caught holding the bag for Goodell, per say, as the commish demonstrated safe tackling by stiffly plowing through a tackling shield.
