Teen Accused in Series of Burglaries in D.C.

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A teenager is accused in a series of burglaries throughout Northeast D.C., including the burglary of a dog.
D.C. Police say 19-year-old Reshawn Devonta Peay of Northeast is charged with multiple burglaries since December.
Peay was arrested on Saturday after police received a tip that led to the recovery of Margo the dog, who was found unharmed and in good health after reportedly being taken from her home on Jan. 23.
The teen has been charged with second-degree burglary for the following offenses in the District:
Dec. 3, 1500 block of Benning Road Northeast
Dec. 17, 1500 block of Benning Road Northeast
Dec. 24, 700 block of 16th Street Northeast
Dec. 28, 700 block of 16th Street Northeast
Dec. 31, 1600 block of Kramer Street Northeast
Jan. 7, 700 block of 16th Street Northeast
Jan. 19, 600 block of 16th Street Northeast
Jan. 23, 1500 block of D Street Northeast
Police are investigating the Peay’s involvement in other similar offenses. Anyone with information regarding the crimes should call police at 202-727-9099.
