LONDON (CBS DC) – Hamas says Twitter has suspended the account for the armed wing of the Palestnian militant organization.
A spokesman for the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades tells AFP that Twitter is falling under the spell of Israel’s agenda and that the takedown is a form of censorship.
The spokesman said Twitter is violating its own rules.
Twitter did not comment to the AFP except to say it always strives to maintain “privacy and security.”
After investigating, CNet found that the group’s Arabic and Hebrew Twitter accounts were still active.
