WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - The New York Yankees have signed 25-year-old Japanese starting pitcher Masahiro Tanaka for 7 years, $155 million, Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reported on Wednesday.

The deal includes an opt-out clause after Tanaka’s fourth year, and will actually cost the Yankees $175 million, including the $20 million posting fee just to speak with Tanaka.

In seven seasons pitching for the Rakuten Eagles, Tanaka has a 99-35 record, with a 2.30 ERA, 1,238 strikeouts, 53 complete games and a 1.108 WHIP.

Last season, he boasted a record of 24-0 with 183 strikeouts, with a .943 WHIP and 1.27 ERA.
