WASHINGTON — Officials in Washington say trash and recyclables will be collected as road conditions permit following snow in the city.
Because of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday, the city’s Department of Public Works had planned to make regular Tuesday collections on Wednesday. But officials say as a result of snow Tuesday some untreated alleys may not be passable Wednesday.
Officials say residents whose trash and recyclables don’t get collected should pull their containers back onto their properties, and the collections will be made on the next regularly scheduled day.
