LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A man was fatally struck by three vehicles as he tried to cross a street in Forestville, Md., Saturday night.
Prince George’s County Police say 24-year-old Irvin William Starks, of District Heights, was crossing Pennsylvania Avenue around 8:40 p.m. when he was hit by a car. Moments later, police say he was hit by an SUV. He was then hit a third time by another car.
While the driver of the first and third cars remained on the scene, the SUV did not, according to authorities. Detectives are working to find the driver of the green SUV, which will likely have damage to its right headlight.
The preliminary investigation also reveals that Starks was walking near or within a crosswalk, but was believed to be crossing against a no walking signal.
