UPDATE: Elijah Jackson has been located. He is unharmed and has been returned home.

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A Loudoun County teenager has gone missing and the Leesburg Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating him.

Sixteen-year-old Elijah Jackson was last seen Tuesday morning in the area of Harper Park Middle School, 701 Potomac Station Drive NE, at approximately 9 a.m. He did not get on his school bus and it is possible that he planned to walk to Heritage High School, at 520 Evergreen Mills Road, SE.

Elijah is described as a black male who is approximately 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing black sweat pants, a gray hooded sweatshirt, and carrying a red and yellow striped backpack. He could also be wearing eyeglasses.

Anyone with information about Elijah’s whereabouts are asked to call Leesburg police at 703-771-4500.
