Juvenile Injured in Shooting at D.C. Rec Center

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A juvenile was shot at D.C. rec center Wednesday afternoon, police say.

The shooting took place at Harry Thomas Recreation Center in Northeast Washington just before 4 p.m., according to D.C. police.

Authorities say an unidentified male juvenile was shot. He was conscious and breathing and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Police says they are looking for a black male wearing all black clothes and black ski mask.

Police are unsure what led to the shooting, but they are investigating.

The Harry Thomas Recreation Center is located at 1743 Lincoln Road NE.
