WASHINGTON — The National Zoo’s panda cub got a chance to experience snow.
The zoo said in a message Friday on Twitter that Bao Bao, who was born in August, isn’t quite ready to go outside. Instead, keepers brought snow to her inside on Friday morning after the city got a few inches of snow Thursday evening. The Tweet included a picture of Bao Bao sticking her nose in a large bowl of the white stuff.
Bao Bao is expected to make her public debut on Jan. 18.
