WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – The Washington Redskins will have to wait until next week for their chance to interview Ravens offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell, Mark Maske is reporting for the Washington Post.

Contradictory to ESPN initially reporting Caldwell would interview for the Redskins’ vacancy on Wednesday, Maske reports the coordinator will meet with the Lions first, on Friday, and then meet with Washington next week, so as to not get overloaded.

He’s also believed to be high on Penn State’s wish list in the college ranks, according to

Caldwell was 26-22 as the head coach of the Colts from 2009-11, most notably taking his team to the Super Bowl in 2009, where Indianapolis lost to the Saints.

He’s also credited with setting the Ravens on track for the Super Bowl in 2012-13, taking over for fired offensive coordinator Cam Cameron, who was let go in December 2012. Caldwell was promoted from quarterbacks coach at the time.
