LINTHICUM, Md. — The Transportation Security Administration says a woman tried to bring a stun gun designed to look like a cellphone onto a plane at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.

The agency says a TSA officer using an x-ray machine spotted the pink stun gun in the woman’s carry-on bag Wednesday. Authorities say the stun gun has a fake keypad and screen and has two buttons marked “light” and “stun.”

The TSA contacted Maryland Transportation Authority Police, who cited the McSherrystown, Pa. woman on a state weapons charge.

The woman was then allowed to catch her flight to Los Angeles.
