ELLICOTT CITY, Md. — A fire that broke out in an Ellicott City home over the weekend has caused nearly $1 million in damages.

The two-alarm fire Saturday night drew dozens of firefighters from Howard County, Baltimore County and Baltimore City. No victims were found during a search of the home.

Investigators say the residents were on vacation at the time of the fire. A house sitter escaped unharmed.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage is estimated at $900,000.
