26-Year-Old Man Injured in Police-Involved Shooting
LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A 26-year-old man who was being investigated in regard to a stolen car was shot by police in Bowie, Md. Friday afternoon.
Police say the man ran from the home on Keynote Lane and was chased by officers up the street to Kennison Lane, where he jumped into a truck that was left running unattended.
The man, according to authorities, drove towards one of the officers. Police then shot him in the upper body.
He was taken to Prince George’s Hospital and is currently in stable condition.
The officers in the incident were not injured.
Prince George’s County Police have taken over the investigation, and charges are pending following the investigation.
