WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – Toronto Mayor Rob Ford joined the Junkies to make his weekly NFL picks on 106.7 The Fan Thursday morning.
The now three-week old relationship between Ford and the Junkies continues to blossom, and with the Mayor issuing yet another invitation for them to come visit him in Toronto, it’s become borderline obsessive.
“This is amazing. I want you guys to come to Toronto,” Ford said. “You’ve got to come to Toronto. We have a great city. You’ve got to come up here.”
“Well listen, we really want to come,” EB said. “I don’t know if it was your Chief of Staff, one of your guys said ‘Well you have to make sure that the mayor can still conduct his business.’ Here’s the thing Mayor, you don’t even have to mind us. We’ll come, we’ll broadcast from some room somewhere in your office, or whatever, somewhere in your building, it can be in a corner, you can just come visit us for a half-hour or so.”
“No, you can broadcast right from my office, right from the mayor’s officer overlooking the city,” Ford said.
Back to the reason for Ford’s phone call — to make his weekly picks.
The Mayor has proven his fanaticism for American football, with a winning record of 20-11-1 picking NFL games against the spread over the last two weeks.
