Water Main Break Closes Connecticut Ave. In Northwest D.C.

UPDATED 1:04 p.m., Dec. 17: All repairs are done and traffic is now moving through the area.
WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — A 12-inch water main break has shut down portions of Connecticut Avenue in Northwest and will impact drivers through at least the morning commute.
All lanes of the roadway are closed between M Street and N Street. The 1800 block of M Street as well as Jefferson Place and the 1100 and 1200 blocks of 18th Street are also closed.
Wisconsin Avenue and 16th Street can be used as alternative routes for drivers Tuesday.
Crews are continuing to make extensive repairs on the main. It is unclear when the work will be completed.
